Read when this approach fits and what to expect, from the first conversation through delivery and maintenance.

Does this approach fit?

Can't we solve this ourselves or choose different software?

Absolutely. If your team can define the problem, clarify agreements, or set up existing software properly, that is often the best path.

Sometimes recurring work still depends on email, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and what people remember. Or existing software only supports part of the work. My approach becomes relevant when that has a noticeable effect on customers, capacity, reliability, how easily someone else can take the work over, or a financial process, and the cause is still unclear.

Then I investigate what needs to change. Changing the way of working, setting up software differently, connecting systems, building custom software, or doing nothing are all possible outcomes.

How do we avoid ending up with something nobody wants to use?

By looking beyond the standard path. I involve the people who know the day-to-day work, exceptions, and handoffs early in the investigation.

No one can promise that everybody will use a new system well immediately. I can make sure adoption, maintenance, and ownership are addressed before anything is built.

What if it works well enough now?

Then leave it alone. Manual work is not automatically a problem, and not every cumbersome step deserves a project.

Change makes sense when the same manual work keeps returning in important work and has noticeable consequences for customers, reliability, capacity, handover, or a financial process. Until then, keeping an eye on it is often smarter than building.

Contact and the first conversation

Can I message you directly?

Yes. You do not have to take the Systems Check first or fill in a long form.

Send me a WhatsApp message or briefly describe your situation through the email form at the bottom of this page. Then we can see whether a first conversation makes sense.

What do we talk about in the no-obligation first conversation?

We talk through what happens from an inquiry, order, or customer request. Where do people have to step in manually? What keeps coming back to the same person? We also discuss what you are noticing and why you are looking at it now.

The first conversation is for getting acquainted and assessing the situation at a high level. It is not a free diagnosis, technical design, or detailed proposal.

How do we decide whether we are a good fit?

You need to trust that I can help and that my way of working fits your team. I need to be able to add something and speak with the people who know the day-to-day work.

If that foundation is not there, we say so. You are not committed to anything. If we are a good fit, we look at whether a paid investigation is the right next step.

The paid investigation

What does the paid investigation cost?

The focused investigation costs €2,500 excluding VAT and includes up to 20 hours of my time. In that time, I investigate one important workflow.

We first get acquainted at no cost and with no obligation. If we both want to move forward, we agree in advance what I will investigate and what you will receive. The paid investigation only begins after you approve it.

Part of that time is spent in conversations and working sessions with a decision-maker and up to three people who know the work. I do the rest independently. Before we begin, we agree when you will receive the outcome and who is needed at each point.

I map the way of working, handoffs, exceptions, and consequences. Then I compare the possible paths. You get a clear view of what needs to change, what does not need to change, and which next step makes sense.

A prototype, full technical audit, detailed requirements specification, or detailed implementation are not automatically included. If any of those are needed, we agree on them separately in advance.

Why pay before anything is built?

Because a well-built solution to the wrong problem is still an expensive one.

If we are a good fit, we first investigate what needs to change. The outcome remains useful if you decide not to build anything or have someone else deliver it.

What does this require from our team?

The 20 hours is my total investigation time, not 20 hours from your team. Your team is only needed for the agreed conversations and working sessions.

A decision-maker or person responsible in your business makes time for those. The same applies to up to three people who know the work and its exceptions.

We use recent examples that show how the work usually happens. We limit access to data and systems to what is necessary and responsible. If the people who do the work every day cannot take part, this is probably not the right moment.

Can we stop after the investigation or continue with someone else?

Yes. That is why the investigation and delivery are separate decisions.

Your own team, an existing provider, or another specialist can continue with the outcome. If it fits, I can take on the delivery myself.

Delivery and working together

Are you an advisor or a delivery partner?

Both, in the right order.

With the people who do the work, I investigate what needs to change. Then I design what is needed and can build the digital solution myself.

For delivery, I make a separate proposal. It sets out what each step must deliver, what it costs, how long it will take, what I need from your team, who decides, and when we stop or change course.

Can one person do all this responsibly?

Not everything. Not always. And not alone.

I keep the connection between commercial goals, daily work, and technology in view, from investigation to a working system. If specialist expertise is needed, we agree in advance who provides it. We also agree who decides what and who manages the result.

Do you take on every new project?

No. I take on only a few larger projects each year. I stay personally involved in investigation, design, and delivery.

The work needs to be recurring and have a noticeable effect on the business. It also needs a decision-maker or clear internal owner, and access to day-to-day practice.

A fully specified job where only the lowest price matters is not a fit. Neither is a free diagnosis or unlimited support.

Ownership and technology

Do we own what you build, and will we depend on you?

What I build and its documentation stay in systems and accounts managed by your organization.

As we work, I document how everything works, the choices made, and what has been tested. Your own team, another specialist, or an AI assistant can continue from there.

Maintenance or further improvement is always a separate, defined agreement.

Do you use AI?

Yes. A lot. But not on autopilot, and not as a reason to choose a solution before understanding the problem.

AI helps me investigate, design, and deliver. Responsibility for security, checks, testing, error logging, monitoring, documentation, and maintenance remains. If AI adds nothing to a part of the work, or cannot be used responsibly, I do not use it there.

The Systems Check

What exactly is the Systems Check?

The Systems Check helps you look at work that keeps coming back. You answer six concrete questions and immediately get a first indication of what your answers may mean.

It is not a diagnosis, benchmark, or requirement before getting in touch. If you prefer to put your situation forward right away, you can.

What do I get after the six questions?

You see which pattern stands out and which consequence may matter most. You also get one concrete check to try in your work.

There is no score, comparison with other businesses, or preselected software advice. The result helps you look more closely or start a conversation.

What happens to my answers?

Your answers stay in your browser and are not sent automatically. If you choose email from the result, a short summary is carried into the contact form.

If you want to discuss the result with me, you can choose WhatsApp or email from the result. Nothing happens without your action.

Bring one concrete situation.

Where do you or your team still have to step in?

Briefly describe what comes in, where people have to search, reenter information, check, or pass it along, and what you notice as a result.
